What is The Ireland Fund of Canada?
Founded in 1978 by a group of Irish Canadians including The Honourable Hilary M. Weston, The Ireland Fund of Canada is a non-political, non-sectarian, registered Canadian charity which funds community-level projects in Ireland, North and South.
An important area of concern in Ireland are projects that bring young people together to foster reconciliation and mutual understanding between the Protestant and Catholic traditions.
The Ireland Funds are in Ireland, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Great Britain, Japan, China, Monaco, New Zealand, Singapore and the United States of America. They are working with groups in Ireland to defeat the divisive forces of history.
How do we raise money?
You don't have to be Irish to support the work of The Ireland Fund of Canada.
The Ireland Fund of Canada raises funds in a variety of ways. We hold special events across the country, including our St. Patrick's Luncheons, Annual Emerald Gala Balls and Golf Tournaments.Thousands of Canadians, of all backgrounds, have already become part of a network of people around the world who share the vision of a New Ireland - of dynamic people, from both great Irish traditions, coexisting in a spirit of peace and prosperity.
We look forward to welcoming you to each of our events and hope that if you would like to become a volunteer, organize a Chapter you will contact us at 416-367-8311 -- The Ireland Fund of Canada is a dynamic volunteer organization and its success comes from its dedicated Board of Directors and Committees
